Korea has two calendar systems, one is lunar, the other is solar.
Korea's biggest two national holidays, #설날(new year's day)' #추석(Thanksgiving day) are based on the lunar calendar system.
Lunar August 15th is #추석 and lunar January 1st is #설날. Therefore, the solar calendar days of #추석, #설날 are different each year.
For example, this year's #추석 is September 21st, but last year's was October 1st. And #추석, #설날 are three day conservative holidays.
Korean people like full moon(#보름달). So they celebrate the first full moon day of year, lunar January 15th(#정월대보름).
